Customize Base Size
Includes shipping. To fit well, look natural and be comfortable, your wig may need a little customizing, just as clothes sometimes do. The following are services I frequently perform in the salon and are now available to you as well. Email me here with your questions about base customizing.
Crown Adjustment: Is your wig too baggy in the crown but fits well in the circumference and around your ears? Most likely you have a shallow crown (the diplomatic term for a flat head) and need the base in that area taken in.
Circumference Adjustment: Is it too tight even with the nape adjusters in the most open position? Cutting them off won’t help. If the ear tabs are in the right place and it doesn’t ride up in the front or the back, then the circumference needs to be let out, with the adjusters intact so you can still use them. This revision is done in the back of the wig, behind each eartab and is undetectable from the outside on all but the shortest wigs.
Ear Tab Lift: Are the ear tabs pressing down onto your ears but the rest of the fit is good? The ear tabs need to be shortened.
USPS Priority Mail return shipping is included. Turnaround time is dependent upon my schedule, usually within one week.
This service is available only for wigs and toppers purchased from My Wig Coach and Alternative Hair.
NOTE: Once this customization is done, the wig cannot be returned. If you’ve never tried a certain style or color before, it’s recommended (though not necessary) to purchase the wig first, try on to make certain the fit/style/color suit you, then return to me for the customization.
